Ok, I don't know where it's appropriate to post this, but I just feel like my body WANTS to keep these 10 pounds on. It doesn't seem to matter if I cut out calories. Anybody else experience this?

Technically your body DOES want to hold on to that last 10 pounds - it's a survival measure.  In case of famine, that last 10 pounds could help you continue lactating for your baby's survival.  :)

I actually gained weight after weaning, but I was overweight to begin with.  I know women who experienced what you have, that 5-10 lbs. stayed on until after weaning.

I agree.  And you DO need the calories now even if you feel like you've got a few extra pounds on.  You are GORGEOUS (seriously).  Your dh thinks so too.  Eat.

I rapidly lost weight while breastfeeding and had a very hard time keeping weight on. I lost all the pregnancy weight and an additional 15 lbs. Once DS started weaning I gained about 10 lbs back. Now I'm back to how much I weighed right before I got pregnant.
