I'm right off of the 90/94 break so we frequently have outings on DH's days off at places in the suburbs.. easier getting to say, Schaumburg than it is to get to Lakeview from here!

We must live really close ;)  Much easier to get to the burbs, though we added up our tollway bill and spent $40 last month in tolls just driving places.  Eep.

Nova Scotia, Canada

Might be birthing in an as-yet-unknown other Canadian city.... depending on where DH gets work ;)

I'm in St Louis MO. This will be my second homebirth and its scary to think how much more limited my choices would have been just a few years ago. I am so thankful for the women who were around to put up that fight! We moved here mid-pregnancy two years ago and have tried to do our part to keep those choices available but the big fight was getting it legal in the first place.

I'm in central MO.  I'm diabetic (type 2, not GD) and trying for a VBAC.  Since we are about an hour from a good hospital dh is not interested at all in a home birth.  I wouldn't mind trying, but it won't happen.

Awww, SilverMoonMama, Tennessee can't be that bad. It's where Ina May Gaskin and The Farm are after all, so there must be at least some options for midwifery!

I'm in Wyoming!  Where it just became legal last year to have a midwife-attended homebirth!  So excited to birth in my OWN HOME! (with dd4 I traveled north to Montana to birth her!).  Luckily, my midwife with dd4 has been integral in getting things going in my state (she used to live in WY before being driven out for attending homebirths) and is now on the committee that issues licenses for midwives! She actually got the very first license :)  She'll be attending our homebirth!
