OMG - i made the cutest pair of malden mills fleece diaper cover shorts! this will be so great for summer since it will be less bulky. does anybody else out there use fleece pants instead of a diaper cover??

I've made a few pairs of fleece pants for night time. Work great. Just one layer of 200wt, dwr MM fleece.

Both those pics are so great!

Do you know if there is any way to applique or something on fleece? It would be fun to make shorts and then put a design on the butt.....

MY WORD THOSE ARE SWEET! OK... I'm gonna make some. I have to ask... what does "dwr" stand for? I have some MM fleece, but I want to make sure I'm using the right weight.

Do you all just use any old pattern?

DWR is Durable Water Resistant or something like that - basically, it's waterproofing treatment.

butter_bean, what pattern did you use? I want to make some too!

my mother and i started with a simplicity pattern for pants and just resized them for shorts, but those patterns are always wayyyy to big. so, she ended up making a new pattern for me on construction paper.... its just 2 pieces.

I like the shorts from the Kwik Sew baby book. I just make them longer.

Those are soooo cute! Do you have a pattern you can share???

Those are adorable! I might have to make some especially for camping this summer! Way to go!

MyLittleWonders...I was thinking the same thing (camping). DS and I are hopefully going with another mom and her two DSs to the cabin where she grew up this summer. No electricity, no indoor plumbing, the works. Anyways, I was thinking these would be great for going out hiking, etc.
Very nice job, mommas!!
