I did w5d1 yesterday too. On Wednesday I registered for a 5k race in June so now I feel more pressure to complete the program. If I keep up with running almost every other day I will have completed the program a few days before race date.

I did wk7d3 yesterday. Set for wk8d1 next week. I'm excited to be heading into the final week of the program. I'm registered for a 5K on June 3rd my first ever. I didn't think I could do it I was winded and tired but I just kept pushing on and said to myself that I would stop if my legs refused to go but they just kept going. My husband is having all sorts of joint pain though from it so he's going to back off a bit. Go back a week to the intervals.
post #63 of 905/21/12 at 11:16amI have done Week4, Days 1 and 2 since my last update. I am due for Week4, Day3 today but I won't be able to do it until tomorrow.

I did wk8d2 today but on the treadmill. It's a lot harder for me to run on the treadmill than outside. It's a little disappointing to know that I'm only doing 4.2K during the 28 minutes so the 30mins won't be 5K for me I will need to either get faster or go longer.
post #65 of 905/26/12 at 11:31amI made it through Week 5, Day 1. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Week 4, Day 1 nearly killed me, but the other two days were easier. I am not sure what to think about the 20 minute run I have later this week. I have one more running day in between and I hope I will be ready. I will be thoroughly impressed with myself if I make it through.post #66 of 905/31/12 at 11:12am- allisonrose

I just did w6d1 today. I felt pretty good and am even working on gradually increasing my speed. I was planning to sign up for a 5k on July 4th when hubby starts talking about going away on the 4th. Grr, he needs to make up his mind and let me know when he is planning stuff.post #67 of 906/3/12 at 7:11am- Nillarilla

Running my 1st 5K race today ever at the age of 30. Wish me luck ladies! I am so thankful to this program. After this I am on to the 10K trainer.
post #68 of 906/4/12 at 1:57pmI think I will repeat my current week. Life got in the way and I have yet to do my first big 20 minute run. I will start out trying it and then convert to either the 5 or 8 minute runs if needed. I can't wait for payday this Friday so I can get some new running shoes. I desperately need them b/c I can tell a big difference in the ones I have now since starting the program. I was already "overdue" for some new shoes.post #69 of 906/5/12 at 12:12pm- TracyGladRags

That is so awesome!! Congratulations :)I just did week 1 day 2 yesterday. I'm using the Robert Ullery podcasts since I don't have an iPhone or iPod touch. I'm shooting for running every other day.

Nope, not too late! I've only done two runs so far, so we'll be at about the same point :)

Quote:I do some of my running with the kids in the stroller. It does take some extra effort and slows me down but the up side is when I get to run on my own I feel so fast! I'm on wk9d2 of the C210K. Finding myself a little irritated with the intervals because it's hard to get to the zen place of running when I am waiting for the walk signal.

Ok, I think I am going to start this today. My first run in a year. Yikes!
Wk 1 Day 1
post #79 of 906/11/12 at 12:27pmjust completed wk 1 day2 and it was haaaarder! love the app though, don't think i would keep running on my own at the end when i feel like my lungs are going to catch on fire - i really obey that trainer lady :)
good to hear nillarilla - i felt as though the stroller was making it less hard than it might be otherwise but now i am looking forward to running on my own and feeling fast!

That's great. Keep at it and it should get easier with time.
