Anyone else having trouble sleeping? - Page 2

Hii mamas, I hope you are all sleeping well tonight. I have always suffered insomnia but tend to become nocturnal while pregnant (I think this is my body's way of getting ready for baby). One thing I have found helpful is the rescue remedy sleep. there is something else but I don't remember what it is called so I'll post again tomorrow.

I also crave water and am extremely thirsty at night. Anyone having hot flashes? I get soooo hot at night in addition to the hip pain, trouble moving, peeing, etc. Part of me really wants my body back to myself but then I remember that empty feeling and mourning and all the work and sleepless night and I want him to stay inside forever. This is where my anxiety comes from. Anyone els going through this?

Sending sleep vibes.

I get sooo hot at night too. I crank my AC down about 5pm to start really cooling the house down, have the ceiling fan on  high and a box fan and I still wake up drenched in sweat.

I have anxiety too. I mourn for the alone time I'll never have with DD anymore.  I know it sounds so terrible but it's always been just me and her and I get so emotional thinking about how I won't have as much time for her. So while I'm sick of being pregnant, I am trying to soak in every last second of just me and her time.

Yes, I totally understand. smile.gif I am happy to hear I am not the only one. I told my midwife today at my 39 week apt. And she reassured me it is a very typical second time mom thing to feel.

Hugs to you mamachick!

Can I just say that I WOULD be getting sleep if my 18 month old would stop waking up three times a night to dry nurse for hours?!? I am getting close to locking that kid outside at night, 4 hours of sleep for 4 nights is not okay. My head hurts.

i havnt been sleeping either! glad to know im not alone.

i fall asleep super easily (always have) but wake up about 3 and cant go back to sleep. i lay there mad at myself and worring that im going to snap at the kids in the morning because im so tired. then the kids get up at 6:30 and we start the day.

not such a fun end to this 9 month journey!

at least its almost over!

Thank you Liss! Makes me feel better too, that I'm not alone in this. I have been feeling so guilty for these feelings!
