Old Threads

Hi :)

I was doing some thread searching for something I wanted to discuss and found the perfect one...here:

But..its old. Some of the members who participated are still active on MDC and I think the discussion is still valid. I tried to reply to that thread so that those interested in continuing the discussion could be asked if they wanted to start a new one but there is no reply function. Im assuming this is because its an older thread - I believe the most recent post was from 3 years ago. Is this because it has been archived? And if so..what would be the best way to attract the participants of that thread to the potential to a new one on the same topic?
