Does anyone have any high chair/booster seat recommendations that, say, a 3 month old could sit in without the tray being up to their eye balls?

What about a bumbo with a tray? That's what I use.

I have never used a bumbo. Is the tray set real low?

bumbo is a great idea!

Ya. It sits an inch above the lap.

Holy cow I just looked them up on Amazon and they are expensive! Im going to try to find one used. Im so cheap I rarely spend full price for anything...especially because to use the bumbo as a high chair you have to buy the tray separately. Yikes.

There are TONS on Craigslist, at least where I am.  I bought mine at a resale store.

Look on freecycle.org

That's where I got mine :)

Since we have started solids, Audrey is having trouble with her bm's.Some day's they are fine but the past couple days they have been hard for her to pass and one solid piece.  Does this sound normal or should I be changing something I'm giving her?  I feel like since I got AF back my milk supply has gone down and I hope she's getting enough liquid.

I will look on Craigslist, good idea!

Jill, we had a similar problem when we introduced bananas.  I quit giving her bananas and it resolved itself in a few days.  If all else fails, prunes always help!

Jill - When we first started Sora on solids, she went down to pooping every 5-7 days for a good few weeks. bigeyes.gif We even called her Dr at one point. She was just getting used to digesting and pooping solids I guess. It has taken about 1.5 months for her to really get the hang of it and now she goes once or twice a day with ease. Prunes actually didn't do much for her. I give her pears on a regular basis now, though, and those are great.

I was gonna recommend the Bumbo too!

KJ poops much less now that she's getting some solid food.

So Avery ingested his first food from his brother (grape juice off a popsicle I had made) and his second food off a spoon he snagged- ice cream.  Sigh...  Today I actually, purposely gave him some food and he managed to chew and swallow some pear.  Steaming some zucchini today!

I got my Bumbo for $15 off of Craig's List, then I bought the tray at WalMart for $10. =) That's Conner's "high chair", but his legs are almost too fat for it, hahahaha.

LOL Levi's legs are almost too fat, but he's too lazy for his highchair at this point. lol

I think I've said already... but we have the cheap white Ikea highchair and it's great. It's small and compact. Plus, there's a wrap around cushion you can get extra that supports the back and sides for the littler eaters. :)

I have never been to Ikea huh.gif  I dont know why.  I think about how I should often...haha.  I will check into that also.  It doesnt look to me like a Bumbo can attach to a seat and be at table level??  <---thats a question.   I would like for her to be able to eat WITH us.

I wish we had an IKEA here. Or at least did shipping.....

Oooh! I love my Ikea high chair! We went for the "high end" Ikea high chair, lol. It is red and wood. :) It was about half as much as any other wooden chair I saw. Lovely high chair.

I know, that wasn't helpful... just wanted to share. innocent.gif

Ash, no the Bumbo cannot attach to a seat, but we have put our bumbo on a chair that has arms and scooted Avery up to the table.  He can't really reach food well, but he can be at the table with us.  If the tray were attached, I'm not sure this would work out.  Plus, it's uber unsafe, I'm sure!   I doubt Betty would be too small for one of the booster chairs previously mentioned.  I would go that route, personally.  And yes, Craig's List for bumbos.  We got ours for $9.
