I have been making my family's whole wheat bread now for 4 years, and I just burnt out my second KA Professional. Luckily, the initial one came from Costco so after it died, they gave me a new one. Now that the second one has died, I'm pretty down on KAs; I got my money back from Costco on it (after 4 years and 2 mixers, they gave me a full refund! Amazing) and I'm ready to move on to another brand.
Bosch seems to be a possible candidate, and would only be $100 upgrade from the KA. It looks REALLY different though...in fact, it looks a lot like a food processor! I am open to mixers under $500, but I want it to be able to do other things as well. It needs to be more powerful than a KA though, or least better made. I'd love to hear your suggestions and experiences!
TIA!
