Should I wean toddler because I may need a mammogram?

I have an actively nursing 23-month-old. I had a benign breast mass removed a few years ago. I am supposed to get a mammo yearly because of my history, but haven't because I got pregnant with son 8 months after surgery, and was told not to get mammo until 6 months after son weaned. I was told that with the knowledge that my intention was to nurse my son for a year. Well, it's been almost two, and I'm stressing over this. Son shows no sign of weaning. Since my son was born, I randomly get pain in the breast where the mass was, which I had been assuming is because of a random clogged milk duct... until now. I am in the middle of a pain episode that quickly followed the previous one. It's more painful than before, and I am worried. Not sure what I should do. I don't have a doctor, and haven't seen one since son was born... no insurance. Need advice. Thanks.

According to KellyMom, mammograms should not interfere with breastfeeding:

No need to wean! I hope everything is ok with your breast. Good luck!
