What is for a bedtime snack? Besides Gaviscon that is?

I finally figured out I can't sleep without tanking up first- good grief...  Any one got any good ideas?  Kefir sound amazing- but I can't get any for a couple of weeks until my food coop order comes in...  Tonight I am having yogurt, strawberries and cream, and shamefully enough a toaster strudel (don't ask me how that got in the shopping cart :)  And gaviscon for a chaser and probably again at about 3 :(.

I have to admit, I had no idea what gaviscon is and had to google it...It's for heartburn?  I have it pretty regularly too, and find it helps to really keep my upper body elevated when I sleep.  For foods, I can't do any sweets really without paying for it...the homemade cheesecake has been worth it :)  I was finding it hard to stay hydrated because every time I had water it came on strong-- blech-- but found that water kefir and kombucha helped, as did a little peppermint tea, and coconut water.  Even though most sweet things aggravate it, dried mango really helps...I've been eating it by the fistful.  Eggs too.  Actually, I wonder if eggs, scrambled or sunny side, before bed would help?  And avocado.  I'm luvin me some avocado these days.

Full fat cottage cheese.  That's my go to snack when my heartburn is acting up.

Usually at night I'm feeling guilty that I haven't eaten enough fruit throughout the day, so I'll have a pear, some grapes or canteloupe.

tums don't do anything for me...  Gaviscon is what my mom used too- it just works for us..  OK- last night I ended up eating yogurt,  toaster streudal, a pound of strawberries with cream, and a pear.

I've been eating hard boiled eggs when I get a hunger attack. They are easy to make and keep around and I can eat them fast which is important when I don't realize I'm hungry until I'm starving :-P I can't eat much at a time so I'm just doing a lot of high protein snacking.

Sugar and refined starches make my GERD worse, but fat & protein seem to help it, hence the snacking on cottage cheese.  Or cheddar cheese and pickles.  Yum.

Lately I've been having pain Greek Yogurt with fruit in it (mostly berries, sometimes banana).  Lots of protein to fill me up and the fruit takes care of my craving for sugar.
