During my fourth month I was itchy like crazy! It wasn't my face as much as it was the rest of my body. I didn't really have much of a "rash" unless I started itching at it and then it got red. Thankfully I was on vacation to the Bahamas....so everyone just thought it was a sun burn..lol. I know it wasn't a sun burn as I had it before I left (it was winter) and had it for a couple of weeks after I returned. I think it lasted maybe a month or so give or take. At first I thought it was because my daughter was on an antibiotic that I was allergic to, (When I have been on that antibiotic, I had a rash was slightly itchy and my lips and ears swelled.) I was the one that had to hand the pill to her. But when it continued and got worse after being gone from her for a week, I realized that was not the case. I still don't really know the reason for it, but it didn't seem contagious to anyone else....just really annoying to me.
I think sometimes with being pg hormones and other chemicals just do weird things...lol
With my first pg I got a rash after I gave birth in the hospital. It was itchy and spotty.....the nurses said it was from the bleach in the sheets....but who knows.
Maybe your skin just needs to be moisturized or perhaps you should drink more water (which helps about everything anyway).

So i've got some weird rash thing going on.... The whole lower half of my face (starting around my nostrils, moving down below my chin and jaw line, out around my ears and my ears as well) is FREAKING itchy. Insanely itchy, but painful at the same time. I can feel the skin pulling when i talk or smile, and if I touch it or wash my face (just water) it stings. I think it's a continuation of the same rash I had on my lips- where they were insanely chapped, then the rash moved to around my lips and itched, stung, and peeled, and now it's just migrating.
My skin feels dry- to me, anyway- and just ever so slightly pink. The skin feels slightly raised, to me at least. My ears look pink and maybe a tiny bit swollen. After looking at me really carefully my husband could tell that I wasn't itchy on my forehead since it's the normal colour but that could just be because I'm rubbing at my face a lot.
I took an antihistamine last night, since it feels like the time I suddenly developed a skin allergy to a laundry detergent, but didn't notice any difference. I haven't changed detergents or changed how I eat in a long time. The only thing that has helped is when I liberally slather my face in coconut oil.
Any idea what's going on? Anyone else get strange rashes?
