Was just reading, "The Learner" a blog from a doctor practicing in a mission hospital in India.
He suspects that, in an environment where medical services are being paid for out of pocket by a poorer population and ultrasound is available, that in troubled births, families are choosing to pay for cesarean where they know the baby is a boy and not paying for cesearean where they know the baby is a girl. Thought this was an interesting new dimension to the whole sex selection issue.
