Nos—sorry to be slow on the veggie parade (and now unable since I’m on the crappy computer) but I am SO, SO excited for you and your DP!! Can’t wait to see you on this board all the time!
Seraf—Most definitely!
Sara—I would be nervous about Shay’s baby time, too, but I think the truth is that any small thing he may lose from having a brother around so close in age he’ll more than make up for by having a brother so close in age. My dad and uncle are a year apart and even now that they’re coming up on 60 are super, super close—they even talk about retiring at the same time and leaving their wives at home so they can go rent a cabin out west somewhere and do manly things like ski and hike and commune with nature. I think S&S will get some real benefits out of the arrangement, in the end.
AFM—breakfast was distracting until we got to the midwife and confirmed that nothing is going on. Baby is fine—she looked at my NST chart after about 2 minutes and said that we had to wait out the 20 but that we already passed—so that’s good, but the kid is right back up under my ribs again and none of us can find my cervix (TMI? Ha! I laugh at TMI!). I was bummed out yesterday but today I think I’m feeling a little better. My hips are KILLING me, though. But it’s DP’s birthday, so I’m going to tidy things up around here and see what I can do to be in a better mood. Midwife also said not to do the nipple stuff, though she did OK castor oil, so last night DP took me on an Ikea walking date and we bought me some weird rosehip drink that I think I can safely ruin for myself since I won’t miss it if I never, ever want to drink it again. Not for another week, though. At this point, a week doesn’t seem so bad..
