I am ttc'ing my second and hoping for a vbac but my husband is considering a move to the Charleston area (WV) and I was wondering what the vbac climate is there... are there many homebirth midwives? I have sort of a unique situation in that I am afraid to go for a hospital birth or even a CNM homebirth because with my first i went post term and I do not want to be dropped... I messaged ICAN of Charleston but haven't heard back... thanks!

I hope somebody replies to this because I know the hospitals in Charleston are less than 1 percent for vbac rates so I know I have no hope there...

Hello, I rarely have the time to get on here anymore, but tonight I stumbled upon your post.

My sister recently had a VBAC homebirth with a midwife from Pocahontas County (her midwife traveled to her house in Fayette County) and she loved her experience! My sister is actually apprenticing with her midwife now. I know they visit families all over, including Charleston, and if you want to PM me your email I can have her get in touch with you to see if they can help in any way by giving information or seeing you through your pregnancy.
