Hi ladies!

So excited to see the DDC!  I'm Mary and my husband and I are expecting our 3rd in December (our due date is Dec 3rd).  Crazy!  :-O  We definitely trying, but it's been a shock and I'm still wrapping my head about the idea.   I live in southern California in a beach town with my husband of 8 years, my two children (boy 3 1/2 and girl almost two), our dog, 6 chickens and 10 quail.  I love to garden, cook, can, sew, craft, build things and homestead.  We have quite the suburban farm. :)

I'm still nursing my daughter and plan to for a while longer, but she only nurses once a day now.  This is my 6th pregnancy (I've had 3 pregnancy losses), so I am hoping for a sticky baby.  I can't wait until we are further along and I can relax a bit about the pregnancy.  We've had our fair share of fertility struggles (our first was IVF), but very fortunately, this one only took 9 months of trying and was conceived naturally.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and sharing this exciting time!  Only my hubby, my dr and my best friend know so I am really happy there are DDCs around to talk about it! :)

Hi all! I'm C., and I'm mama to a 15mo little boy, born in December 2010. I found out last week we are expecting #2 on December 6th, exactly as I'd planned and hoped. I love December babies. LO is still nursing frequently at this time. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to keep my milk supply and tandem nurse, but of course I have no way of knowing if my body will cooperate.

LO was conceived via IUI, as was #2, but we've been very lucky to only need one cycle of treatment each time.

I'm a LLL leader applicant and a volunteer babywearing educator, and I also work from home as a research analyst. My midwife was the second person I told after my husband and she is so excited for us. My homebirth with #1 was the first birth she attended solo, so we have a very special relationship - we love her!

Hey!  We found out last week that we are expecting in December.  I think the 18th.  We've been trying a couple months, this is our 4th (well, my 5th pregnancy, but we lost our last little at 14 weeks) and final.  Very excited!

In fact I think I'm going to break the news to family today, I think it'll be fun to tell them on easter that there will be a new addition come Christmas. Alos, since it's been a secret that we were trying, this is a "fake account" and I'll switch to my real username in a bit and let you guys know when I do.  My sister and some friends post here on MDC.  I've been on here for about 12 years.

Hi mamas! I'm a little surprised to be here so soon (1 ppaf and here I am!), but still excited about #2! I just got my clear + today so need some sticky baby vibes! I am in the same boat as you, lovesoup - my DS is 14mo and I also really hope he will continue to nurse all the way through but like you said who knows. Pretty sure I conceived on 3/26 so my EDD is around 12/17.

I think we will probably break the news to our families when we visit on Mother's Day, which is kind of funny since we announce our pregnancy with DS on Father's day last year. :)

Looking forward to getting to know you all!!

Congratulations everyone!  I am so happy to see this DDC!  This is my third pregnancy.  I have a nine year old and a three year old.  I am trying to decide when to tell the nine year old because it is so hard to keep a secret from him!  We won't tell family and friends until the second trimester.

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi everyone!

I thought I would cautiously join your group eyesroll.gif  I tested positive a few days ago and my guess date in Dec 16 though my kiddos usually come 2 weeks early.  This is our 3rd baby.  We were a little on the fence about having a 3rd but decided to go for it and it worked on the first try.  I have to say that I am a little in shock(!) but I'm started to get excited.  I've had 2 m/c's and a ectopic pregnancy so I feel very cautious and we won't tell anyone until I'm out of the first trimester.  So far I haven't had too many symptoms which is different for me but the dark positives on HPTs seem to indicate that I am definately preggers!  I guess we'll see.  I have 2 little boys that are 5 and 2.

I'm also a labor and delivery nurse and a Hypnobabies hypnosis for childbirth instructor.  I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Hi everyone, and congratulations! This is my first pregnancy. My husband and I have been TTC since January 2007. After trying, then not, for a few years, we finally went to a fertility specialist. I had my tubes removed in 2010 due to severe scarring that extended across my liver. I have no history of STI or other infections, so to say I was shocked was an understatement.

Anyway, it's been a long journey. We tried a natural IVF cycle in July 2010 with no success, took some time off, and switched to a different clinic with stimulated IVF. Had another small surgery to remove some uterine cysts in October 2011, then got 13 eggs with our stimulated cycle. 5 fertilized, we transferred one, and froze two. The fresh cycle ended up being a chemical pregnancy. :(

We transferred the 2 frozen embryos March 23, and this time I just felt different. I got my first positive on an HPT March 30, then had my first Beta Friday, which came back at 1924! My nurse said they're happy with 200-300. Second and third betas today and Wednesday, and the ultrasound is scheduled for April 23. We could be looking at two heartbeats. I'd be happy with just one!

I'm so glad I found this group because I'm about to explode and tell someone way too soon. We haven't told our parents yet (waiting until the u/s), and I've only told one close friend because she's been there for me through this whole journey.

I'm already experiencing some nausea, and am definitely emotionally. Everything has me crying or feeling cranky, and I'm told this is only the beginning...

Wow KIK, you have been though so much! I always feel especially happy for newly pregnant mamas who have had difficult fertility journeys. I have PCOS and have been fortunate to have a relatively easy time of it, but even that little taste of fertility struggle has given me a lot of empathy and admiration for women who have to fight so hard for that take-home baby.

Your symptoms and betas sound great! Excited to see the results of the u/s. I'm planning a home birth and had planned on no ultrasounds, but I'm having twin vibes and my husband wants us to get a u/s to check for stowaways. :)

Hi Everyone!

I too was very excited to see this group has been started.  I lurked quite a bit on this site during my 2nd pregnancy, and vow to be more involved this time.  This is baby #3, I have a 14 year old, and a 1 year old (today!), both girls.  This one was a bit of a surprise since I'm still nursing #2 and haven't had a period yet, but we are thrilled!  I am a graduate student and we lead a very busy, hectic lifestyle which I would love to bring to a more calm place.

My due date is 12/8, but both my girls were 40+5 so I plan on a third late one :).  We haven't told anyone except for our best friends and my mom.  We're trying to make 8 weeks before we spill the beans, it probably depends on how I'm feeling.  I had pretty severe m/s with the others, so we'll see.  How is everyone feeling?

Congrats!!

...and 17dpt my beta is 12,535! I used this HCG level calculator and it said my numbers were doubling every 26.6 hours. The nurse said either one overachiever, or they both implanted.  Someone reassure me that this baby will not emerge in a few weeks and devour me in my sleep!

Two weeks until the ultrasound. That's one test I can't do at home, so I'm just going to have to patient!

Katielady - Thanks so much for your kind words. I have one friend with PCOS who got pregnant while on the pill, and another who needed a little extra help, but it's wonderful when nature just takes things work out without much intervention.

junebug1 - I just kept repeating the number back to the nurse! I'm still in shock.

esp831 - We have the same estimated due date!

I can't wait to hear how things go for everyone else as they progress!

Hello again! I posted last week but and was hesitant but now I'm more confident. Things are looking good so far. Have had all the normal mood swings, nausea, crankiness, etc... that came with my previous pregnancies. Congrats to everyone and I'm so happy about those who are pregnant after so many disappointments. Sending good sticky vibes to y'all!!
Made my first midwife appt for 5/3. We use a midwife in a hospital and its worked out well but because of moves we've had to use a different one each time. Hopefully I'll be able to use this lady for a long time. :)
Best wishes, everyone! Look forward to getting to know y'all.

That happened to a friend of my sister-in-law. She implanted two and ended up with twin boys and a girl. bigeyes.gif

Hi everyone!

This is baby #4 for us! Yikes! EDD around Dec. 5th, but I think the baby will be born a week or two early. I am so nervous to have another baby, yet it feels like this baby will complete my family. My DH is in the military, so I think that his pending deployment adds to that anxiousness. He may or may not be here when the baby is born, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

With any luck, this baby will be born at home. We're waiting to hear back from a specialist on whether I'd be considered high risk or not. I'm also having some serious twin vibes, but that could just be my inner fear screaming at me. I don't want twins, and I definately don't think I could handle it with DH gone.

Anyway, I just started getting nausea in the past couple days. Before that I was getting twinges and round ligament pain. The little booger was definately making their home down there! We see our CNM on April 30th and we'll get all the labwork done, as well as an u/s to accurately date our EDD. According to their calendar I'm already 8+ weeks, but I know my cycles are typically 44 days long, and I know when I ovulated and when we forgot BC in a moment of passion. I'm hoping they will let me wait until my next appt. to do the pap, but being a military clinic I'm not sure if that will fly.

Hi Mommas! I haven't been on this site for quite a while and found out Easter evening we are expecting baby #3! We were "done" but apparently we aren't done just yet :) A blessed surprise!

It's so early so I haven't told the world yet so it is nice to talk about it here with you all who are expecting around the same time. My EDD based on the pregnancy calendars online is December 10. I have my first OBGYN appt  May 1 and can't wait to see the little bean and heart beat!

Best of luck to all of you mommies!
