Breast tenderness ONLY at night « Back to Group Discussions

Wowzers.  So the last 3-4 nights when I wake up to pee (I'm sure I'm not the only one!), my boobs are so sore between the hours of 11PM and 2AM.  Any other time and they are good...just seems like I'm having a major hormone surge between those hours...weird, right?

Mine are particularly sore at night, but usually from about 8pm on through the morning.  I think you're right that it is a hormone surge.  I remember telling hubby last night that it felt like they were just BRUISED really badly from the inside out.  OUCH!

I've had it worse at night lately too - but that could also be to my son waking more and wanting to nurse.  oh, it makes me cringe sometimes!  I hope I can hold out nursing the whole pregnancy.

I think breast tenderness is caused by progesterone and since progesterone fluctuates throughout the day, maybe it surges in the evening?

My nipples have been HORRIBLY sore from ovulation - now.  Nursing is cringable.
