Also grateful for the 'mistakes' list--I'm sure I'll pay too much attention when I start getting contractions and it's good to know that i should ignore them.

Oh, do I ever feel like a yeti giantess! thanks for the laugh!

Midwife yesterday cleared us to start any and all natural induction stuff we feel like breaking out--I think we're going to start off easy with more RRL tea and some evening primrose oil, and maybe some sexy-time if I can muster any desire at all (maybe my desire for getting the baby out will do as a stand-in?). She said to hold off on some of the other stuff until we get closer to when they want to induce--I've got 10 days before we hit that point, so I figure plenty of time for the baby to get the message that it's time to be born.

Im due at the end of the month and am just 37 weeks today. My last three came at 40, 39, then 38 weeks. I am 4cm dilated now Nd hoping baby stays in for another week so I can through my To Do List. I have had DH on sex probation for three weeks to ensure we didn't trigger anything lol. The last three days I've had tons of bloody mucus, but things feel pretty normal otherwise. Im extra crampy today, but have been having days like that off and on for a month. My mama gut, based on past births and my body this time, is that baby will come sometime between now and next weekend. I've also had a baby within 3-7 days of bloody mucus unloading. That said, I would be just fine if this baby cooks until close to EDD. And at the same time, I want it here now. Helloooooooo crazy pregnant lady!!

DeChRi - I'm glad I'm not the ONLY one who's been holding out on DH to prevent an early arrival!... lol

I had a crazy day of constant, regular contractions on Saturday. DH and I DTD the night before for the first time in 6 wks, since the last time we did it I had an obnoxious amount of BH's the next day.  I woke up saturday and they were 7-8 minutes apart, and continued to get closer over the next few hours, down to about 4 minutes for a while, my mw came to check on me, but they didn't get painful at all.  I rested and took a bath which spread the back out some, but they didn't quit until bedtime, so all in all 15 hours of regular contractions that did nothing but move the baby WAY down.  I wasn't too uncomfortable it was just a long time of not knowing "if this is it".  Some of the contractions were so hard pressure wise I peed my pants, it was strange though because they didn't hurt that much.  Just ridiculous squeezing.  I'm all AF type achy and feel like my perineum is supporting a bowling ball now, I've never carried a baby this low before.  I feel like it could be any time now,  I'm 37+3 and I went into labot 38+2 with DD.  No sign of plug or show which I had with both my others though, so who knows.

Fern, I had wild weekend of contractions also. I started losing mucus plug on Sat night, then the rest of it overnight last night (It's like the body's way of reminding you how gross birthing babies is!).

I had painful, wake-me-up contractions both Saturday and Sunday nights, and this morning I went and laid down with my relaxation music and my windows open, ready to labor as zenlike as I could, but then the contractions stopped and I ended up just taking a nap. So now I'm kind of at a loss. Am I in early labor? I have no idea. When I have a contraction, it's really painful, the wrap around your whole back and lower belly kind, but they're like an hour apart right now. Who knows? (Oh, I'm 41+1 now)

fern and nc mama- sounds like you are both gearing up realy quick! im sure you only have a day or 2 left from the prep work your body is doing. :)

afm- lost my mucuc plug this morning, i also have taken to last resorts (for me) so i dont miss a big event in my DS's childhood. in order to be a part of it baby needs to come by tomorrow. praying.gif

so my last resorts for today are...jogging around the park at 38 weeks preggo...haha! it was a funny sight...yes. stripping my own membranes (i coudl finally reach it today it was so low!)  and i poured 1 oz of castor oil, but chickened out and only rank half of it, so well see if it does anything.  and lots of baby dancing!!!

i did a lot of research on the effects of castor oil, blue/black cohosh, membrane stripping etc... and decided on half ammount of castor oil (they reccomend 4 oz over 3 hours, i was going to do 2 oz over 4 hours but chickened out) and the membrane stripping.

btw- my cervix is now totaly mush thumb.gif and im about 3.5 cm dialated. so i know my body is ready, im hoping a little push will help. after tomorow, ill stop everything even the epo and just let it be!

Well, for the past three days I have spent a few hours each day contracting about 10 min (or less) apart with lower back cramps, lower uterine cramps, and inner thigh cramps. They never last and are never painful (just noticeable). At least I know my body is trying to gear up for something! No plus lost yet which is a bummer.

Here's a funny thing.  I had my membranes stripped yesterday morning (40+5 today) and was told that I was 4 cm/60% effaced.  This morning I woke up with the worst cramp ever in my lower abdomen, so I cuddled with DD for a few minutes and then got up to see what would happen.  I was so excited!  Then I went and peed, and I realized the cramp was just a super full bladder.

I'm such a dork.

justKate: i had the same kindof thing happen a couple of weeks ago.  i had a bladder spasm that hurt soooo much i thought for sure it was labour starting.  nope, just an overfull bladder.  so disappointing!!

for the last couple of days i've been having a tight burney feeling across the top of my uterus. i was really hoping that this is early labour, but i googled it and from what i can tell, it just seems to be stretching of the uterus to accomodate the growing babe.  ::sigh::

I still have lots of time to obcess over possible labour signs, I'm only 37.5 wks. Dd was born at 39+4. The past few nights I've been having period like cramps, nothing super painful, but more than just noticeable. No contractions though, well, I've had bh, but not at the same time as the period cramps.. I've been at least 3cm dilated for 3 wks now (been 4 cm for over a week, 90% effaced), and I WISH that actually meant something. I know its not unheard of to walk around like this for weeks, but I wonder if its actuallly "common". Dr made it sound like he didn't think I would make it to next wks apt, not sure why he had to go and plant that thought in my head. With dd I was 3 cm at 38 wks, 4 cm at 39, so now I am feeling like it's not normal to still be preg, which is crazy! I wouldn't want baby to come before 38 wks anyways, so I don't know why I'm half feeling like I'm "late". Sorry if I'm rambling away making no sense. Haven't slept well in forever, these hips are killing me!

I feel like I'm finally to the point that I'm "ready" for baby. Not that I'm totally done with everything, but mentally and emotionally "ready" I think. And of course, while before I felt like I was "asking" her to stay in a bit longer, now I feel like she's telling me, "yeaaaaaaaah... not quite yet mom." lol

I dunno.. I haven't had "intense" BH in over a week I think... so I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume she's going to be like her brother a probably be a few days past her EDD (04/19), or at earliest only a couple days ahead of it.

I'm hoping it's on a weekday/night so we can just have our regular childcare watch DS during the day while we're at the birthing center.Otherwise, if she holds out until the 21st or a couple days past, my mom will be here, which would also work out pretty well.

I'm still not obsessing though... but I do think I'm going to have the midwife check me today, even though I'd decided against internal exams until 40 weeks... I just kind of want to know, even though it's essentially meaningless information. I'm curious if the intense BH that I did have before "did" anything.

i havn't slept without waking up crying, iv cried myself to sleep for the past week, i'm not hungry, and i spend all day trying to fight back tears.

i feel so guilty that i 'forced' this pregnancy (clomid, progesterone, instead cups, charting etc...) and now i know that God has to be punishing me for it with this awful timing. why should i have to miss an event in my oldest child life because i wanted another baby so freaking bad?  why does my unborn child have to feel all my raging hormones and hear me cry every night because she is the 3rd child?  its not fair...i feel like i want to throw a tantrum! its just not fair. mecry.gif

can you have PPD before you have the baby??

and on the topic of the actual post innocent.gif- cervix is mush, about 3-4 cm, and i have bh all day....not sure i'm going to know when its actualy labor anyway, haha!

This made me laugh because I had something similar happen last night. Was having cramps that were different than the BH Ive been having for weeks. Stronger and more painful for sure. There was no pattern but I thought well Im gearing up anyway. Turns out it was gas.....redface.gif

Hmmm...could things be starting? What do you all think? I had menstrual type cramps most of the night and this am. When I stood up out of bed I had a huge gush of...stuff. Not sure if it was mucus plug...it was more watery and milky then egg whitey. I've never been through this before, so I just don't know. On and of painless ctx's. Maybe it will happen this week...I'm 39 weeks tmrw.

I don't know, Day ... I've had all of those symptoms for the past 5 days or so as well and nothing has progressed yet. I'm 39+5 today. But, I really don't know - I was induced last time, so itw as very easy to tell what was what when a monitor is there telling you that you are contracting. This whole going into labor naturally thing is new for me - it's A LOT of body gearing up stuff, that is for sure.

When I was induced at 38 weeks with my DD, I had had NO signs of labor before that. This time I feel like I have been having "gearing up" signs for a full 2 weeks .... and it could be another 2 weeks before baby actually gets here!

I've been getting that weird watery gush thing going on too! I don't really remember it from my other pregnancies (it's been so long it's weird that I've forgotten so many of those little details from my previous pregnancies! I'm 40 weeks today and baby has been unusually still yesterday and today....not sure if she's resting up for labor or what!
