Well, pelvis is definitely moving as it is seriously sore down there. Woke up this morning with BH that were making me a little nauseous. The BH are nothing unusual, but the nausea was a little weird. I am pretty sure I am still a ways off so not worried too much.
Is this it??? A thread to obcess over labor twinges and signs - Page 3
I had an epic labor fake out on Saturday. I woke up at 4 am all AF achy and crampy, light but noticable contractions started around 6, 7-8 minutes apart. By 10 am I'd pooped 5 times and had some bloody show (sound quite a lot like labor right?) the contractions slowly got closer together, and were 5 min apart but still relatively painless by 2 pm. By 4, I was having to pay attention to them a bit more, so I called the mw's and they said they'd be over in a hour or so. They arrived, got set up, and I was still working through the contractions fine, they were regular and every few would be stronger, but it didn't seem like my body was in a hurry to get the baby out. I had more show, more poop, and by 9 pm I wasn't able to talk through the contractions and things seemed to pick up speed a little bit. I got in the bath about 10, and had a few really good contractions, then all at once things basically just stopped. I was only 2-3 cm and 70% effaced. The midwives went home to try to let us get some sleep, but I couldn't sleep at all, I had the weirdest shaky feeling and major hot and cold flashes with lots of nausea. I had more diarrhea and bloody show at 3 am, at 7 I talked with my mw again and she suggested I eat some something salty like broth, take my Ca/Mg and try to rest. I finally did nap a bit, but basically just rested in bed all day yesterday. I slept pretty well last night and feel better this morning. I just hope the next round of labor produces a baby in my arms!
Oh, Fern, that's awful. I was induced with DD and although I am adament about not wanting to be induced this time, I must say, the nice part about it is the certainty. With DD, I was hooked up to monitors so I KNEW what you are feeling are contractions, and my body got straight to the point - from mild cramping to contractions that got stronger & longer and more painful to birth in 12 hours. This time, it's like I've been trying to figure out what is what for the past 3 weeks.
Had some seriously strange pressure all day yesterday. Thought maybe it was contractions. Could feel baby's head 1 inch or so inside my vagina (through uterine wall). Woke up at about 1 am this morning with some noticeable contractions - a clear feeling of "oh, this is a real contraction" but they were pretty short. They have been getting stronger and longer ever since, but are not regular at all. But, they are strong enough now that I have to concentrate through them. I've been up since 1am, just unable to sleep from a combination of pregnancy insomnia and these contractions. I finally made the decision to text MIL - we want her to come down when I am in labor to take care of DD while we are at the hospital. The tricky part is that she lives 5.5 hours away. On one hand, I don't want to wait to long. On the other hand, I don't want her to come down and have it be a false alarm and still not have a baby this week. Ugh. Since the contractions are to the point that they are pretty intense, I went ahead and got her (and FIL) on the road ..... we'll see what to today brings.
Yep, that is exactly what I have going on, too... I also did spill white blood cells in my urine last week at MW appt which could be a sign of infection, but it could also be a sign of some CM getting into the urine sample. I think it's a normal thing, rather than infection. I'm curious what you find googling it though!
Bloody show is usually a definite sign! Good luck! Are you having the back pain with contx? Hopefully not because baby is posterior. That could be why you keep having start and stop stuff going on...or all the signs but not real action. I'm pretty sure my baby has been posterior the last two days (she still goes back and forth) and I get really bad sacrum pain when she is posterior. I am 40+1 today and I think once she gets turned around the right way that things will get started.
saudade, the googling led me to: "might be an infection, might be labor" bah! no help! haha
woke up at 4 am to more blood (only enough to get on tp not in underwear and very painfull contrax about 10 min apart. an hour later they are 2-3 minutes apart!!!! grandma is on her way over and i keep thinking i just need to poop! see you all again with my new baby!
Well, I've been having some strong, yet painless and pretty regular contx today and I know these are doing SOMETHING because I lost some mucus plug (although it was not bloody at all) If I didn't know any better...I think I may be in early labor. "Early labor" which could mean it could still be a couple days...or you never know! I kind of have a "feeling" that this is the beginning of something, though. 40+2 today!
My turn? I've been awake for about an hour with short (20-30 sec) waves coming every 4-8 min or so. I finally got out of bed and am folding laundry to see what happens. I had a small "gush" but really it was my plug. Last labor I didn't lose my plug until around the time I was ready to call the MW - hours into it. No matter what, DH is NOT going to work today.
Definitely feeling the contractions ramping up (I've had contractions since 20 weeks, so I knew they would never be a reliable indicator) but today (and gross, sure) but I am barely able to leave the bathroom. Hoping this intestinal distress is a harbinger of coming labor signs because I am done done done.
Thanks for thinking of me tarabelle :) I've been thinking about you too!! I have NOTHING going on right now...haven't for a day or two. I was "due" on the 18th so I'm only 2 days past but it's still dragging on....Wouldn't it be something if we both had our babes on the 21st!? I'm going on a long walk today and might even try to DTD.....LOL
You'll be in my thoughts!
Arby- I hope this is it!!! Good luck, Mama!!! xo
Mom2Sam- I hope you're on your way to holding your sweet babe!!! xo
