This is 16 weeks. I'm hoping to make an animation after the pregnancy. I'm getting a late start, but better late than never (one of my mantras, along with almost late is still on time).
Weekly Belly Photos!! - Page 8
Ok here are my photos of my belly all decorated from the Oregon Country Fair! It was so fun to walk around with my belly hanging out (anything goes at the fair) and people could see that there was a baby painted on there - to represent the one inside!
The baby is drawn approximately to size! Although we did move it up on my belly for artistic purposes since it is really hanging out bellow my belly button. I got my ultrasound results and the estimated weight is 14 ounces! Wow!
OMG!! I just made the mistake of going back and looking at pregnancy pictures from my last pregnancy. I am going to post them for you so you can see what I mean...I AM HUGE THIS TIME!!!
Here is one from 18 weeks which is closest to where I am now.
Here is another one from 30w2d....11 WEEKS farther along then the picture I posted above from the current pregnancy. I look about the same at 19 weeks this time as I did at 30 weeks last time?!?!? WTH?
I did start this pregnancy about 9 pounds more than the last one. Could that make this much difference? I find this horribly depressing. I know every pregnancy is different but I can't help but feel disappointed in myself.
Aww mama, you are so beautiful!!! Also, I think it's a great belly!!
I'll do a comparison for you so you don't feel so bad! Also, congratulations on your BOY!! WOO HOO!!!
Okay, here is a picture from my last pregnancy, at 24 weeks.
And here is one that I just took today, right in the middle of my 20th week:
I, too, started out this pregnancy a lot bigger, so I think that has some effect in what is going on. I just feel bigger faster and he feels really low already.
Tropicana, you look like a miraculous vessel that's capable of sustaining life. You're amazing. I think our experienced mommy bodies just know the routine and get right to it. FWIW, I started out this pregnancy about 10# lighter than I did with DS and I'm still showing a lot faster than I did the first time.
Thanks girls for your sweet words (and comparison pictures)! I know this is about nourishing this little being in my belly and not about me but....I guess vanity got the best of me there for a bit.
I really felt like a million bucks with my last pregnancy and this time I am just packing on the weight HOWEVER it is just a few short months of my life. I'll get over it.....
Tropicana - I'm feeling the same way lately. I started heavier last time and gained 30 lbs in total. Here I am not even to the halfway mark and I've gained 25 already. It's freaking me out a little, but you're absolutely right. This is such a short season in the span of our lives, and for me I know part of my weight gain is from knowing how to better manage my nausea this time around. I'll take the extra pounds any day over hanging out over the toilet bowl for weeks on end!
Yeah. My innie never "popped" with DS but it is again getting really stretched and shallow. At +/- 20 weeks the fundus is right there around bellybutton height and will soon be above it. I think we can expect that our bellybuttons are only going to morph more and more from here on out!
