Holy Smokes was it horrid! Last night I passed a gall stone and let me tell you- it was the worst thing ever- pain I don't wish on anyone! Besides watching what I eat - as in less fatty foods- what can I do? I am taking a bile supplement Cholacol before I eat anything- and that has helped in the past (my last pregnancy I had gall bladder issues- but like a moron thought I didn't need a cleanse). I am afraid to really eat anything now though... Anything fatty or dairy (which is obviously fatty) I am afraid off. Which is like protein. So what am I to do for protein? I had a chicken sandwich for supper- no problems yet... Suggestions mamas? Cause at about 5 this morning I was ready to beg for surgery- and then quickly passed it and passed into dreamland like a rock....
Yikes! I passed a gall stone- anyone else with that problem?
I don't know enough about gall stones to help, but that stinks! I did hear they are set off by pregnancy hormones, so hopefully it will get better once the baby is born? I have two friends who had their gallbladders removed right after their babies were born.
Chicken sounds like a good idea for lean protein, canned tuna, other lean meats. I eat canned chicken from costco a lot because it's easy and already cooked. You could also throw a bunch of chicken in the crock pot and eat it for a few days. If you don't have any favorite recipes you can do just tomato sauce, or Italian salad dressing, or salsa, something like that?
