Ooh! I like everybody putting their DH's guesses too. I went back and edited to add his.
My reasons for guessing both an early and a late date are a little convoluted.
-First, my midwife calculates from the beginning of my LMP. I stopped my birth control (NuvaRing) right before my LMP, and then got pregnant on my very next cycle. So, I'm guessing that my guess date is off by at least one if not two weeks, which would make my "real" guess date be a little later. I don't know very much at all about charting, but I stopped birth control on Sept. 17, finished my period on Sept. 24, got married Sept. 25, DTD every day after that through Oct. 5 (and a bunch more times in that month, but though Oct. 5 was our honeymoon), DH's b-day was Oct. 5, and DH was hoping we got pregnant that day, but I had a feeling it was a couple of days earlier (Just one of those feelings that happened right after DTD). But, from what I do know about charting I think it should have been another week later that it actually happened, because aren't you supposed to O right before you have your next period? But I didn't actually have a next period.
-But, next I know that with DD they calculated my guess date the same way, and I had her the day before the OB guessed. Then my midwife tells me that gestation for 2nd babies is usually a little shorter, so that makes me think that I'll probably have this baby a little earlier. Plus, I was smoking before I got pregnant, and stopped in early pregnancy. (I had let the wedding planning get to me, but cut down and quit as soon as I got a positive test.) And I know that possibly might contribute to an early baby. (I have a lot of guilt about this.)
-Either way I think I'm going to have the baby on a weekend. I don't know why, but I just really feel that way. So, I guessed the weekend before my due date, and the weekend after. I'm just hoping that I don't go two weekends past and have the baby on independence day weekend. My midwife is so far away, I don't want her stuck in holiday travel traffic.
