I have wondered if women pregnant with multiples get way more negative comments like that, like "I would kill my self" or "better you than me" or "just shoot me now" and other horrid things like that. Ever since that though occurred to me I have made a conscious effort to only say positive things to moms of multiples. It must make it just that much harder to have a positive outlook if the whole world is telling you they'd rather be dead than in your shoes!

We get it, crazy. You don't want triplets. The next time she says something I think I am going to scream at her.

angry.gif  I totally WOULD scream at her. Definitely have something ready to say if she mentions it to you again, even if it is to just say, "Ya know what? You're being very rude."

I've gotten the "Better you than me..." line before, but I am blown away -- in such a disgusted way -- that somebody would actually say they'd rather kill themselves than be in your shoes. I think this clearly states their lack of ... gah... anything good! Holy heck!

At work, an older woman looked down at my belly, sighed, obviously disgusted, and said (as she rolled her eyes), "Life happens.".

Wow that is so rude.  I would have said "It does!  Sounds like mine's better than yours!"

Wow, triplets!  What an amazing adventure!  My brother has triplets, they're 12 now and one of the family's biggest blessings.  My brother's ex-wife had a very rough pregnancy, but she also had a lot of support.  And when the little angels were born, the whole family came together to support them.  It's sad that the marriage didn't work out but my brother wouldn't trade those three little miracles for the world!  Congratulations, I'm so excited for you to watch them grow and change over the years!
