post #2 of 94/14/12 at 4:36pmmy 15 year old babysits the baby some days while i drive to pick up the other two from school. and after the baby naps she's happy as heck so i get a half hour to do whatever sometimes. one day a week i sometimes drive the teenagers somewhere and leave the youngest two home with dh. at this point, i take what i can get and call it mine!

When my kids were little our local Y offered a 90 minute gym/swim/play time for little ones. My kids loved it and it meant I had 90 minutes most weeks to just go for a walk, read, do errands without the aid of toddlers - it was great for that brief period when all 3 were in the age range for that class!

That sounds awesome! My down time is almost every day, from around 11:30am to 2:30pm. This is when the boys (18m and 3yr) nap. My 3 year old looooves to sleep, so hopefully he will keep napping for a while now. All of this will be shot when I give birth in the next couple of weeks, though.

Very very sporadically, when dd is napping basically, which doesn't alway happen as she hates to nap, lol.

Cherrybombmama, I'm JEALOUS! My 1 year old DD naps but only about 2 hours and 3 1/2 year old DS doesn't nap at all anymore. He has quiet time most days which involves watching a show or playing with cars, but it's not the same!! :)
post #8 of 96/26/12 at 12:48pmMy kids also hate napping so down time is not very common in our house but it's anywhere from 12-3.
