Does your baby stop and stare?

I haven't been able to find any information on google about this.

Rose does this thing where I will be holding her or nursing her and she will all of a sudden stop and stare for a few seconds. Then she will move again. It doesn't seem like she's having a fit which is what I initially thought but it's more likes she's really relaxed and just chilling out kwim?

Does anyone know what this is?

I remember reading that infants go through natural periods of arousal and contentment. I think this behavior was mentioned in a talk about normal self regulation. Of course anything that has you concerned, is best addressed by your childs doctor. The idea being that stimulation was vital to neurological development, but not stimulating during quiet periods (maybe, like you are describing?) was also important.
