Is it to early for our babes to have stranger anxiety? Audrey has been strange everytime we take her out in public lately but I thought that came later. She also makes a really sad face and starts to cry when people even look or talk to her.
Neither of my two has had stranger danger (well, DD did for a very few people, and I trusted her instincts and stayed away from those people if I could), but for any baby that I know who did, I think it started at about 5 months. This is about when they start to understand themselves as separate beings from Mama, yes? That must be scary.
Dylan does the crying/pouty/sad face when someone starts talking to him (not everyone, though). He does this with our sweet neighbor, specifically, so I know it's not an issue with her as a person. He has been around her since Day One (she and her husband where the only visitors we had at the birth center). He will cry when he sees her, but then fall asleep in her arms. Weird. He loves her (laughs and plays with her, paws at her face, isn't bothered by her at all once he settles for a bit) so I don't get it.
I'm at the white-haired person thing, Sara! Hilarious!
