I'm in Pre-Labor!!! How long can this last!??!

OMGosh we are SO EXCITED. I woke up 5:30am with trickle of liquids and/or bloody show. Midwife says it is NOT water breaking (not enough liquid) even though I'm having to wear pads now for a light flow. I've been having irregular contractions all day and frequent loose bowel movements....we are so excited we could pee our pants!!!

How long could this stage last? Am I close to these contractions finally forming a pattern and getting things going??? It's already 7:30pm...we can't wait to meet our baby!

How exciting!  It really just depends on your baby and body on how long it will take!  Get plenty of rest of course while you can!  If you want things to get moving faster- put your DH to work on you and that should kick things up a notch or 6 :)

Are you sure your water didn't break? If you go up the stairs is there a gush? What about when you stand from sitting? If so your water broke! That is how it was with DS.

As for how long it could be a while. I would try to rest now so that when labor hits you are ready to go. You could try nipple stimulation, sex could get it going, but with possible leaking fluid I would probably avoid having sex just in case.

It's so hard to say. This could go on awhile or be very quick at this point. REST! Seriously. I know it's hard when you're so excited but you'll need your energy for the main event!
