TMI: Vaginal Hemmeroids?

This is totally a TMI question...

I appear to have a hemmeroid or something like it just inside my labia... It is REALLY freaking painful (and nearly made me scream when DH and I tried to be intimate the other day...)

I'm too scared to google search it, and yes, have an appointment with my doc on Wednesday just to find out what in the heck is going on.

I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of or had something like this.

DDC crashing.  Sounds like a varicose vein.  My sister had vulvar varicosities with her second pregnancy.  They are really uncomfortable, she was prescribed some compression hose and a support brace thing.  For her they went away pretty quickly after the birth.

Yep, sounds like a vulvar variscosity, which is what I developed during this pregnancy. My midwife says they're pretty common, especially in subsequent pregnancies, and that they almost always go away once the baby is born. She told me to get this brace called a V2, which basically looks like an elastic and velcro chastity belt. You can get them in any medical supply shop where they sell compression stockings or you can just order it online from amazon. They're like 40 bucks, but it was the best money I've spent in months! Not only did it solve the throbbing problem, but it also made my hips/lower back feel much better.

I finally got the courage to google vulvar varicosity. It sounds exactly like this. :( I am super unhappy about it. It hurts like nothing I've ever experienced, especially during bathroom time.

My husband said that I look like someone punched me in the vagina when I made him look to see why I felt all swollen. (That mental image made me laugh like nothing else, but it was not really a laughing moment...)

I see my doctor Wednesday and really hope he can give me some recommendations. Meanwhile, I'll probably be buying that belt.

Yuck - not had one yet myself but I know several other pregnant friends who have! I'm sorry! Sounds awful -- but they do go away...

I just had someone ask me about this so I asked some midwife and L&D nurse friends and I guess it's pretty common.  And it does not affect vaginal birth at all, although it can be uncomfortable.  The midwife told me to tell the mama to increase her Nettles tea consumption, so that's one thing to try as well if you are interested.
