May 31 is the deadline for sign-up! 

At that point, I need a headcount so that participants can buy the appropriate number of beads.

If you "signed up" for this early on, I didn't yet have the google group account set up, so please look below to make sure you are signed up in the google group. If you have issues doing this, please PM me your e-mail address, and I will send you an invitation.

I did a birth bead swap with my last DDC, and loved it. Its about time to start organizing if our DDC would like to do this. The MDC forum rules are such that a bead swap needs to be done offsite, but we can use this thread for signing up.

In a nutshell, if 25 people sign up to do the bead swap, then each participant sends the organizer 25 beads that they have picked out. The organizer then creates a package for each participant that has one of each bead, and sends a package of beads to each participant. You can then string the beads however you like, and keep it with you when you labor :)

I love this! I hosted Mother Blessings for two friends last year and we strung birth necklaces for them to take into their labors. It's so special to see the beads everyone chooses and why.
