New here!

Hi ladies,

I have a 16 month-old DD and I'm about 7 weeks pg with this new bean. It still hasn't sunk in yet. (This baby was an unexpected blessing, but we were going to start TTC this summer anyway). My first midwife visit is going to be in 10 days and I can't take the anticipation. My tentative due date is 11/28 - two days before my DD's second birthday! Any other mamas with kids 2 years apart?

Congrats!! I'm sure your kids will love being close in age and I've heard 2 year olds adapt well to a new baby (I certainly hope so since my DS will be newly 2 yo when this LO is born!). Welcome!

Welcome to the boards!  My kids are farther apart (oldest will be 11 and youngest will be 7 when this little one is born).  That said, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time with the kids being that close - they'll get to grow up together!  Congratulations on the pregnancy!

My sister and I were 10 and 8 when my youngest brother was born. It was so much fun to have a baby in the house at that point, and I have so many memories of my brother as a baby. It was truly amazing. Your kids will love it too!

Hi Divine MrsM!  I remember you from the TTC/ONE thread!  :)

I had my baby in Feb of 2011 but found myself unexpectedly pregnant again - still in shock considering I just turned 40 and am still nursing.  it took a year with Henry to get pregnant (and stay pregnant).

So these 2 younger ones for me will be 21 months apart, which is the same age difference in my older 2.

My older boys are very close and it was fun having them young together.  I felt like I had 2 babies for a while (I did) and then 2 toddlers.

The younger of the 2 was very verbal, very young and definitely held his own.  Now, they are 3 and 5 and both weigh the same, the older being about 5" taller, yet everyone thinks they are twins.  Aside from the normal bickering they get along pretty well since they do have for now anyways the same interests.

Congrats!!!

Welcome!!  My first two kids were 2 years apart and it was wonderful!  I found the older was old enough to know what was going on and love the baby, but not old enough to feel replaced or jealous!  Then again, that same older child is the best big brother and is SUPER excited about his fourth sibling, so maybe it's just his personality.

Congratulations on the early surprise!  :D

Congrats!  New here too!  My son is 22 months and I'm into my 7th week as well.  This was a planned pregnancy that came fast and so I'm still a little dazed.  My accountant is more excited than either my husband or myself.  He's psyched to have another deduction before the end of the yearduh.gif
