For the nursing moms.....

Is anyone else experiencing nausea when your lo nurses? It just hit me today. Ds is 2, and has nursed 3 times today, and each time I have felt like hurling everywhere after he has been latched for about 30 seconds.

I'm not personally, but I have heard of it happening. That must be tough. ((hugs))

I am starting to tolerate it a little better, but maybe that's because it's not just when he nurses anymore. It's full blown now, almost all the time. Blech.

DD is 33 months and nurses frequently, sometimes I have a bit of nausea when she nurses. I forget where I read that sometimes it can be helped with positioning--like not letting LO lay on your belly at all--try more of a sitting position where they are seated next to you or in front of you. I have noticed that it dos tend to be worse when DD is able to kick or touch my belly while nursing--I have already become very instinctively protective of my belly and have to watch my reactions with her and hubs--I do NOT want my belly touched!!!

Also, maybe try a handful of nuts right before or during your session?

Yes, it can be awful feeling and it never went away with my second pregnancy.

Worse though is that LO chipped a tooth slightly and that combined with sore nipples has been TERRIBLE.
