I already feel the baby? Anyone else this early?

I've only have my one to compare to, but isn't this early?  I felt my son at 14 weeks and now this at 7/8 weeks?  It just seems odd.

I was watching TV with my knees to my chin and was drinking a glass of ice cold water.  I felt movement, THE movement and stopped drinking for a minute.  Took another sip, and sure enough, movement.  The prolonged pushing in one little area kind.

Could be gas, I'm full of it these days, but it feels like I remember it.  Any other ideas?

Maybe you're further along than you thought?  I'm not sure a 7 or 8 week fetus has enough strength to push against the uterus hard enough to feel it.

I don't know what you are feeling but all my intestinal/digestion rumbles and bumps have me guessing. Of course I felt those "kicks" back when I wasn't even pregnant! winky.gif

I'm kinda looking forward to the time when my uterus will be big enough to push my organs up more so I'll KNOW, hey, uterus is the only thing down there now so that's the baby!! Ah, sigh, feeling the baby move will be another step toward knowing things are safe and healthy! love.gif

I think the earliest is around 13 weeks.  So either you are further along, you are feeling something else or you are having phantom kicks!  Sorry for the disappointing news, but there is no way at 8 weeks you are feeling the baby.  For what it's worth I am as far along and I swear I feel the baby as well.  But I think it's just being hopeful!

I'm pretty sure I felt this baby sometime last week. I'm quite certain what I felt wasn't gas. It was like a small rubber ball was pushing against me. I felt DD move around 13 weeks, and she was my first, so I have a history of feeling babies "early".

Now that was at 9.5 weeks (or 10.5, if the MW is right that I'm about a week further ahead), which is about when the baby can start moving. I don't know if it's possible before the baby actually starts moving, though.

I wish I felt something. I know it's early, but feeling the baby moves always makes me feel better. Like that I am actually pregnant and not just hormonal and getting a huge gut. I didn't feel the baby move until like 20 weeks last pregnancy, so I am wondering if I will feel anything from this one before then.

Did you have an anterior placenta?  Where it is on the front of your uterus?  I didn't feel two of my babies until 21 weeks because of this.  So maybe you will feel your baby earlier!

CindyCindy- Yes I think I did have an anterior placenta, they told me  with DS that my uterus was backwards, but this time around they felt and said my uterus was not backwards so I think maybe the 1st time it was an anterior placenta from what I am reading. That could explain why they couldnt find a heartbeat with DS for awile too.
