i am 30 weeks now and never in a pregnancy before has my belly button hurt like this before. if ii even touch it it stings  like it is pulling apart or coming unattached from something. my belly button always goes flat, but it has never hurt like that before. :(

:-/ That sucks. Mine always gets almost flat but it never bothers me. This baby seems to like pushing his/her feet right into my bellybutton though and that feels SO wrong. I swear it seems like this kid is stronger than my others were this early.

That sucks!  Mine always feel easily agitated, but not super painful.

i googled it and everything says it is a normal part of the muscles separating. but i am gonna have the midwife check for a hernia anyway. i bet this is the biggest kid i will ever have.

I've had a super sore spot just to the side of my belly button for weeks now. It's really sensitive and painful just under the skin but not into the inner muscles if that makes any sense. I can feel a tiny depression and I figure some tissue ripped and separated while I've been growing. I didn't google it as Dr. Google makes me crazy and paranoid these days (AGGG I have ALL the THINGS:) It is starting to feel better now so I think it is healing. It really is amazing to me that we can stretch so much without MORE trouble and aches:) Hope it feels better soon!

ive had a sore spot just to the side of my belly button too but it hasnt been hurting for the past week or so. it would really hurt when baby kicked it or made stretchy movements or when i pressed on it. i figured it had to do with muscles separating.

I had the same thing-- my belly button popped out really early this time and the whole area around it stung...now it's all gone numb.  Crazy.  At least it doesn't hurt so much any more :)  It's always good to check for problems though-- I never would have thought of a hernia and I hope it's not what's going on for you Lioness.

after hearing you ladies tell me the same thing the midwife did, i doubt it is a hernia. i am waiting for it to go numb. lol. that would be nice. right now it just is getting to the point where it only hurts if you stick your finger in it.
