pregnancy-safe cold remedies?

i am sick aas a dog with an upper resperatory cold, and can't take any over the counter meds because of being pregnant. i've been eating garlic cloves and fresh ginger, and sipping hot water with lemon and honey. is there anything else i can do? i can't remember is tylenol safe in the first trimester? i know it is safe later. i lost my voice, and can't swallow, and my ears and nose are closed up. i am so miserable, and my toddler is sick too, and i'm too sick to even take care of her how i need to.

Just chiming in to say I'm getting over a cold myself and I was absolutely miserable. I didn't take any medicine for it, but I did drink massive amounts of fresh fruit juice. I used colloidal silver spray once to open up my sinuses a bit, but that was it. Try to get as much sleep and drink as much water as you can. (hug)

Oh, and I drank chai tea to soothe my throat.

Technically you can take regular Dimetapp (no D or DM).  You can also take tylenol.  I used some coldcalm for my cold a couple weeks a ago and it worked wonders!

I've found a saline nasal rinse like a Neti pot or Simply Saline really speeds up my recovery from a head cold.
