I had my first doctors visit today at 9 weeks 5 days. He did an ultrasound and I saw the sprout move! It's amazing that we could make out so much detail. The remnants of the yolk sac where clearly visible, the amniotic sac, the little arms and legs where moving around, and the cord was super clear and long (even the doctor was remarking "wow, check out the cord how cool is that"). It's a relief to finally see everything is going well.
He asked me how I liked the VBAC last time and told him that I would like to do it again. I did express concern about tearing but he said that there is a good possibility that it wouldn't happen again. That comment made me feel a lot better.
He did offer to refer me to a high risk doctor, because I am AMA, for more testing but I want to think about that. We did not do it last time and really I don't know if I want to do it this time either. Have any of you done additional testing?
Anyway, it was so nice to finally see the bean and I just wanted to share with you guys.
