I guess my view on this situation would be that in the event of a "tie" (so to speak), the "tie breaker" should probably be your son. Since it is *his* foreskin and penis under discussion.
I'm truly not trying to be snarky, I'm really sorry that you're so worried that this may be a huge debate for you and your husband. I hope it's not and that he's able to understand your reasoning. But I guess I feel like, as with any major decision, if one person WANTS TO do something and the other person DOES NOT WANT TO do something, you err on the side of "caution" and do not act.
For example, if one partner wants to have another baby but the other partner adamently does not want to do it, it would be most people's view that conceiving would not be wise.
In this situation, if your husband wants to circumcise and you do not, it seems logical NOT to do so. You can always do it later, if he wants (he being your son) but you can NEVER truly undo the surgery.
