Oh the countdown is on!!!!!

if you are counting down now you are in for a longggggg ride ; ) Evberything typically slows down in the last 10 weeks of pregnancy and they some how end up feeling like 1 year.

The last part of pregnancy went SO fast for me last time!  Probably because I felt like utter death until 34wks, so it was nice to feel good for the next 5wks.

I won't be having music, it annoys me at the best of times.  I'm pretty sensitive to noise (DS2 is similar, DS1 likes to make loads of noise) at the best of times, so I can imagine that during labour it'd just really piss me off - adding MORE noise to the sounds of the kids, tv, games, etc.  Ugh, just realised my BW likes to knit/crochet during labour, I should warn her that click-clacking needles are likely to really annoy me lol.

LOL no not really on the countdown! We are happy taking it as it comes! But its so exciting to know that all these nesting projects are being done for a reason that doesn't feel like a year away anymore :)

For all the births I've attended (I'm a doula) once mom get's to active labor she doesn't usually want anything with words.  Just instrumental.  That's been my experience anyways.

Here is my postpartum playlist so far.  I never thought to add Christmas music!  I love Christmas music!    This list is also from Rhapsody and they don't have the licensing for Beatles music so I'll be making my own Beatles playliist for early labor. Love this thread by the way!

This was my experience - I had a playlist ready, but my labor style is straight to the point. When the contractions are a minute and a half long every two minutes, music seemed very annoying.

This time I'm making a list of very calming music that I can visualize to and another of slightly quicker music if I want to change up for pushing. It'll all be instrumental, though I might change my mind and make a third list. I could always use it after labor.

Amazon has a great meditation style album here for free just now - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008E5YZ6S/ref=sr_1_album_1_rd?ie=UTF8&child=B008E5Z01C&qid=1345815299&sr=1-1 I did eliminate several songs that annoyed me, but there are many that will make the list. :)
