We went to my moms house for dinner last night and while she was frying the beef, I got the strongest wave of nausea.  I had to run to the bathroom and I was afraid I wouldn't make it!

When I came pack, they were shaking DH's hand and saying their congratulations! 

So much for waiting until 12 weeks! lol

OP I understand your feelings! This tiny but noticeable bump and the nausea is going to be hard to hide! In fact it already is!!

That photo is great!  Our secret is slowly leaking as well.  We were hoping to make it a few more weeks, but I'm feel so crummy (and SO noticeably grouchy!) that people are starting to figure us out.  I seem to have zero brain-mouth filter while pregnant.  Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm someone who talks pretty openly... so I tell my friends. But family I am more reticent about telling, for whatever reason. We will probably make announcement to family after the heartbeat is confirmed.

That story is too funny!

Our immediate family knows and we told them at 6 weeks and 7 weeks, respectively. One set of friends also knows because I was tired of fake drinking (since so much of our social interaction involved dinners and drinks). I've been avoiding some of my looser lipped girlfriends because I know I would want to tell them desperately. This time of year is so busy work wise that it has been easy to just hole up at home when I'm not at work and avoid being social.

I've been keeping this pregnancy out of real life and off of Facebook for now, but have been posting a lot of other places, lol. And someone IRL happened to find out via one of those online places, but she has only told her DH and is sworn to secrecy. Our first appointment is in the middle of May and I'm going to try to wait to tell everyone else until after that, but I'll be almost 8 weeks by then, and the nausea usually starts by 7 weeks for me. so we'll see.

As for Facebook, I plan on having a vague announcement and a clear announcement later. For the vague one, I'm just going to say, "I see a rainbow!" lol. Then for the clear one, I'll post a pic of a rainbow and use the caption to explain what a rainbow baby is.

We are still deciding how and when to announce this bub!

We were going to keep it quiet until after 12 weeks from everybody. But lately I have started feeling really lonely in this so we have decided to tell DHs mum this coming week when I will be 6 weeks. After that we are going to wait!

Still no idea how to announce tho! 

I did buy an iron on transfer with "Do Not unwrap until Christmas" for a maternity shirt... perhaps I will make it early and wear it around the the family/friends.. 

Thought that might be cute.

Another idea was to do the same thing with another iron on transfer of "Oops I ate a seed!!" with a pic of a watermelon!

I feel like I want to keep this secret as long as I can BUT this is my fifth.  I swear just a hint of pregnancy hormones in my system and I already don't have a waist!  LOL  If the kids find out it's all over, they will blab to everyone LOL.

I know, right? LOL. DH and I have to talk about it in whispers and code b/c our 5-year-old is very perceptive, and is also a talker, LOL. But we tell my 2.5-year-old since he can't talk very well yet, rofl.

Same problem here!  If my 4 year old knew, the whole city would know!

Yep...definitely was a problem even last go around.  The last time my kids told the inlaws before we got to it.  LOL.  So, I'm just going to have to hope that the kids are just really self absorbed and not too observant!

I ended up telling our seven year old because I wanted her to understand why I was so tired and not to take it personally.  But I'm with ya'll on not telling the younger ones. They'd blab it all over the southeast!

On this note-our girls (4 almost 5 and 3) found out when we did because I foolishly hollered out to DH from the loo "Babe we're having another!" :) and E our eldest charged in and squealed "Mama's pregnant!" She then proceeded to tell P her little sister that that meant they were definitely having a sister (two sisters in fact) I thought it was no big deal having them know, and that we'd easily be able to hold out until like 12 weeks or until I was so big that people began asking if I was pregnant or nursing a tumor-buuuuut today whilst making chimichurri sauce I get a text from a friend (who wasn't even at church this week!!!!) Saying "Congrats on the new babe coming! Let me know if you need anything!" so I gave her a ring and she said that she heard from someone who heard from someone who taught E and P in Sunday school  so ummm yeah pretty much everyone knows now....and while it is sweet (since the text I've had two sweet friends drop by with crystallized ginger and lotion socks) I miss having the secret be all ours.

I'm starting this pregnancy a little overweight, so it makes me wonder, if I eat super healthy and just sort of 'stay the same' if they'll even notice LOL.  A girl can dream....
