Mom's of 3 kiddos......Q for u

I was wondering how would you arrange these car seats?? I'll have a 7 yr old in a booster, a 4 yr old in a booster and an new baby in an infant seat. Who would you put where?

I dont have a 3rd row. We have a Tacoma truck. I have a fear of accidents in cars. We used to live in TX and almost everyone has a truck. If someone were to hit us, while we're driving a car, their grill would be in the kids faces. I have to be in SUV's or trucks. Living in Europe the's little worry of that happening. There are next to zero trucks. We sit so high up in the truck compared to the European cars, if we were to be in an accident the other car would be by our feet.

I had a similar situation with our car before we bought our mini van.

In our case it was easiest to put the infant seat in the middle. I put the baby in first and then the girls could get themselves strapped in on each side.

I was thinking the same thing, but wasn't sure if it would be too difficult to put the baby in over the seat and if the girls would be about to buckle their seat with the base for the infant seat in the way.

as far as who will be safest where, I'd do 7 year old behind either passenger or driver (whoever needs more room) 4 year old in the middle, and infant seat behind either passenger or driver (whoever can use the least room)

Watching this thread with great interest. I have a Honda Accord and I'm wondering how I'll fit three car seats! We're looking into buying a van.

We bought a van!  I couldn't figure out what would work without the 3rd row!  I have a friend who does it.  Baby in the middle, two oldest outside.  She puts the baby in first and says it isn't too much trouble.

We now have a minivan, but before we did, we had a Hyundai Elantra with very limited space in the back seat. Our solution was a bit pricey, but made us feel the most comfortable. We purchased two Sunshine Kids Radian65 SL carseats and installed those on either side of the back seat and purchased a Combi Corroco carseat for the baby and installed that in the middle. It worked great and the kiddos didn't feel or look smooshed. Hope that helps mama!
