Moving to St. John's NF...Advice???

I am moving my family to St. John's so that I can attend Memorial U for postgrad.  I am a crunchy homeschooling mom to 4 kids 6 yo and younger.  Any info on where to live (short-term furnished in mind), where to shop, if there are homeschoolers, etc. Thanks a bunch!!!
