When does m/s start?

You'd think I'd remember as this is my fifth.  The morning sickness, when does it start to get bad?  I've had nausea a few times.  Just a few waves, etc.   One time after I took some vitamins.  I've never had really bad morning sickness, but I'm thinking I remember the worst of it starting around 6 weeks....?  I might actually feel better/more reassured if I have more sickness...

I've been feeling pretty decent, with a funky-feeling stomach twice earlier this week. Part of me is trying to enjoy not having nausea yet, but the other part is wanting it to show up because I know it's a good sign of a healthy pregnancy.

in my last pregnancy, i was queasy, but didn't start throwing up until i was over 9 weeks pregnant.  currently, im in the middle of my 8th week and the queasiness/gagging is really picking up --- i think i'll be puking soon.  ugh.  nut.gif

Mine starts around 7 weeks. Not looking forward to it. disappointed.gif

Darn. I'm 5 weeks and haven't had many issues. For some reason I thought I might be able to avoid it, though I had it with my other 2 pregnancies. So it will show up just in time for our upcoming trip to Great Wolf Lodge, if I get it!

With my last pregnancy I had the worst of it from week 6-10.

This time around the nausea kicked in early, before I was even to 5 weeks...so, that means that it should pass around week 8 or 9 right?winky.gif (I wish).

Mine started at the same time as my +.

That's why I tested!  I have had 4 pregnancies, this is my 5th too.

I never got it before, every child and preg. is somehow a bit different.

It all started with a funny taste in my mouth around week 5, and it has gotten progressively worse. So far it's just nausea, but I'm just waiting for the big puke to start. I'm holding out hope that it will just be nausea, since I work pretty long days, and I think people are already suspicious. It's like they can smell baby on me or something.

For me, it usually starts before I've missed my period! :(  This time, there's nothing so far...

Mine started the day I turned 5 weeks exactly..... Not fun!
Especially as we had a road trip planned the next day that we couldn't cancel. Won't be doing that again!

I'm like that too...I seem to have a lot of nausea, but not a whole lot of puking.  Usually it has to be some weird food, combination of foods that sets that off.  I was hiding my pregnancy from the inlaws once and they took us out to eat somewhere and I had to excuse myself like three times to go to the bathroom LOL.  I had a weird sandwich, and of course, it had some strange mustard sauce on it I couldn't handle.  The funniest time I had problems was once when we were at the Olive Garden.  The potato and sausage soup I usually loved there started making me feel sick.  I ate my meal (never ending pasta bowl) then couldn't handle the nausea anymore.  We had gotten into some casual conversation with the waitress and she knew I was feeling sick, when I got back I discovered that my husband had requested a batch of fettucine alfredo for me.  The waitress said that the 'never ending pasta bowl' was the perfect meal for someone with morning sickness.  Sigh....

I'm getting there and this morning definitely had some nausea.  I am going to try the very small frequent meal thing...used to help in the past.

Wow, I must be the lucky one. wink1.gif Mine started at 3 weeks. Very sore breasts, and slight nausea.  But a few things started the day after I conceived with early waking in the morning, felt like I had so much to do and very motivated, and soo hungry all the time, also the inability to eat dairy. Blech!

I'm wondering since I'm 35 and its been 8 years since my last pregnancy, if age is having something to do with my symptoms.

I mostly escaped this with my daughter, so I was surprised to get slammed with m/s from 5 weeks. I've been nauseous for most of the day, every day, since. (I'm 9 weeks)

mine started at 5.5 weeks.  I'm now 6.5 weeks and it's been a LONG, nauseous week. :(  Basically constant.  I'm eating every hour and I've started having my hubby bring me a protein shake before I get out of bed which is helping a little too.

Sigh.  It's been different each time so I don't know how long it should last .  Hopefully not long, with how bad it is this time!

With my first pregnancy it started around 5 weeks. This time I wasn't nauseous at all until 6 weeks, with my first actual vomit happening this morning at 6.5 weeks. I was worried that it didn't start earlier but now it's here I wish it would go away! Lol.

The biggest factor for me is eating protein. I'm eating a lot of meat and eggs and I keep a protein bar beside the bed for when I wake up. I'm off grains almost entirely. My hubby and I wanted to try a paleo/primal diet anyway, and the timing is working out really well.

Almost six weeks, and I just threw up for the first time.... Don't judge me, but I feel like I totally deserved it! Like seriously, what WAS I thinking. I was out running errands, and called dh and asked him did he want me to pick anything up for lunch. I was thinking like salad from Panera or something. He asked for McDonalds... I debated a bit, and then laziness won out and I also got a cheeseburger and a hot fudge sunday to eat for my lunch. Since this kind of food can make me queasy even when I'm NOT pregnant I don't know what I was thinking.

So.... no more junk/fast food for me, it really will make me vomit. Also I can't do tomato sauce when I have queasiness, the acidity. Mine seems to be really triggered what I eat more than anything. If I eat like I ought to and avoid processed foods, then I probably will feel queasy at times but won't actually vomit, which is really important to me... We don't eat stuff like MD's very often so that shouldn't be a big deal to avoid, and obviously I shouldn't be eating that factory-farmed hydrogenized fake food anyway!!! But I don't know what I'll do if eggs start bothering me, which they have in the past. I eat a lot of eggs!

I'm 5w2d right now and don't have it yet, but in previous pregnancies, it's started somewhere between 6-7 weeks. Only thing I have so far is possibly bigger boobs, lol.

I second the bigger boobs! They are trying to escape!

Okay, I think m/s is here now. I've felt so yucky all day. I thought I had a few more days before it would hit, lol. Oh well. It's all for a good cause. smile.gif
