Help!!! Am I pregnant or false positive??

Okay so I am 7 dpo, going on 8 and last night I took an EDT pregnancy test (I know, early to do so) and I waited the 10 minutes (as fast as 2, as long as 10) for  my results and not even the control box showed! SO I wrote it off as a faulty pregnancy test and put it away. I didn't bother looking at it this morning but just in curiosity tonight I checked it to see if the control box line even showed. To  my surprise, BOTH lines are there..one for the positive and one for the control. HELP! Was it too far past the window of time allotment for this to be counted as an actual positive? If it goes past the 10 minutes, should the results be void? I did test at night and fairly early in my days past O (6, not even to 10 yet) so I'm not sure if my hCG levels were just so low that it took time to show or? False positive? HELP!!!!

I have gotten false positives with blue dye tests.  I also get early +'s (9or 10dpo) but 7dpo is really too early to test +.

I've tested + as early as 8dpo, more than once in my 11 pregnancies.  I will say that blue dye tests are infamous for showing lines that aren't real though.  I'm definitely NOT saying your test is false, I would say it was too long after testing to trust, but who am I to say it's totally wrong.  I would suggest getting a pink dye test for future testing though.

After the window the test is void, unfortunately!

Try again in a few days with a pink dye test like First Response. I've gotten a blue dye test that looked just like that and I wasn't pregnant.

thank you all! So today I started bleeding, a 9 dpo ? I'm not sure what to think to be honest, my period isn't due until the 3rd (Thurs). It isn't my usual period, it is more of a brownish red, no clots, no thick flow like usual and the cramps are rare, when they do occur it is very mild. I am usually one with horrid periods! Not sure if it is AF or implantation bleeding or what =/

Was it AF or did it only last a short time?

I had that brown bleeding for almost a week, a few months ago, thought it was AF, but turned out to be implantation bleeding!
