OAHU-Windward based home-based co-op preschool starting

Some moms are staring a home-based preschool! We are looking for others to join us.

We are striving to assist our children with social and cognitive development and development of independence in a nurturing and respectful environment.

We require parent participation

We are home-based

We allow younger siblings (separate group)

We are Windward based (Oahu)

We are Montessori inspired

We will meet two days a week

We are planning to begin in June.

Hi, I know its a few months after your post, but are you still doing the co-op preschool? I was wondering if there was room for my 4 and 3 yr olds. We will only be here until October, but I would love to get together with some like minded parents/kids.

We have more room in our co-op if anyone is interested. It is a really fun and educational experience!

There have been a few changes since we started. 1) we rent space in Nuuanu 2) we meet Wed and Friday morning with a monthly field trip on Tuesday.

As before, our group is ages 0-5.

Aikane- I think we not be the right place for you. We do have some babies but they are all siblings of kid who are in the co-op. We aim for 2-6 year olds. Sorry!

Hawaiibetsy-this may be good for you! If you want to PM me I can send you more detailed info. Here are a few basics. We meet in Nuuanu, however, there will be changes in the summer. Some people are leaving and we need to change our meeting area. It looks like we may have found a spot in Kailua. We (now) meet Wed and Fri mornings. We all do some of the planning and prep. We are Montessori focused and have a fair amount of Montessori work in the room. Right now we have a 2 yr old, 21/2, three 3, two 4 and a 5. PM me!

I have a DD who is turning 3 in a few months. We've decided to keep her at home and do Montessori with her so we'd love to join a Montessori-based co-op!  I am new here so I can't PM you. Are they other ways to contact you?
