cedar rapids IA. looking for a shadow care doctor for homebirth.

was hoping someone would have names of doctors who are willing to provide shadow care for a planned homebirth with a midwife. i am using a DEM. i just want to have someone i know be there in case of transfer. i dont want to just show up at the hospital and take however happens to be there. kwim?

Don't know of any in that area that will knowingly do shadow care. Hope you find someone that can fill your need.

i was told that dr.sterling at fmaily medical specialists is supportive of home birth. i made an appt with her and i go on the 16th. i will let everyone know what i find out. we need doctors we can use for shadow care.
