My youngest just turned six... when the baby comes, she will be almost 7 and my oldest will be 9 years old! I'm actually really excited about this spacing, since the girls will be old enough to really appreciate a new baby AND to maybe help a bit. :) I have some long-term concerns, though, mostly worrying about this little one... like by the time the new baby would be 11-12, big sisters would be on to college (possibly- I'd be fine with them living at home and going to school/working). I only worry about this because there is a 4.5 year gap with my husband and his 3 older siblings. They are all "bonded" and he's kind of the lone duck. I don't want that to happen!
Anyway, curious if anyone else is having such a big gap, or has already had a gap like that. Or grew up in a family with a 5+ year age gap. What's good about it, bad about it, etc. :)
Sometimes it seems like a huge gap to me... other times when I am going through my cloth diaper stash and I'm happy to see that most are still in good shape it doesn't seem like such a big gap. Weird!
