Just read a story about newborn infants going through drug-withdrawal in Tennessee which has me bawling. Well, when I got to the part about an older man, a retiree, who volunteers six hours a week to rock and cuddle these poor babies, then I lost it. I mean, so glad people are willing to do such things but it's also so sad to me that these babies must be born into such awful conditions and that they need a total stranger to rock and hold them rather than their own mothers. Aaaagh. Right before this it was a story of some psycho in Vegas who raped/killed some random woman and her 10 yr old daughter. Must.stop.reading.news.
