Nursing Objection Comebacks

I found this blog today, and then this article about comebacks to common nursing in public objections.

I can't stop giggling.

I like this one:

Cover up!

Blame it on the baby: My baby doesn't like having his head covered when he eats. It gets too hot and stuffy under there. Continuing in an oh-so-gracious vein: But you feel free to put a blanket over your head if it makes you feel better.

I feel like another answer to any of these would be : mind your own business!

I'm happy to live in a state (NY) where breast feeding in public, whether or not the nipple is showing,  is a protected right. I found this link to rights by state: http://www.ncsl.org/issues-research/health/breastfeeding-state-laws.aspx

It amazes me that this is an issue at all. I've been out with friends who were breastfeeding in all sorts of places, and can't imagine anyone saying anything about it.

The comment section is pretty funny too.

"Breasts are sexual"
So is your mouth.

Someone else linked an article with more: http://www.diaryofafirstchild.com/2010/06/25/combacks-for-breastfeeding-comments/

I love the line of "so is your mouth!" I think it cracked me up for a good half hour. :)
