Wendipauline - so sorry about what your SO said.  That should be on the list of "things not to say to a pregnant woman"!  He should be happy that you are initiating sex!  My DH has all but given up because of my lack of interest!

Wow- I would be heartbroken to hear such hurtful things from my husband at a time like this. *hugs* I hope he's willing to talk more about it in a more neutral way so you don't have such rough feelings between the two of you.

Regarding henna- I've henna'd my hair a few times, now. I was disappointed in the results from Surya, but the Mountain Rose package worked really well for two applications in a single box (I just had to get another set of gloves and hair net). It was super messy and took a lot of time, but I'm happy with the results. I very nearly stirred it with a metal spoon without thinking, though- I don't want to see what colorful effects that might have produced!

I agree with this! LOL and I have a completely hilarious story. I had picked up my DH from work and the kids were in the backseat. My 9yo son says, "I have a confession." I was like, "Umm okay, what is it?". He says he woke up to go to the bathroom and overheard a conversation of DH and I when we were laying in bed. He says, "Dad wanted to have sex, and mom you didn't want to." yikes2.gif (,he doesn't know all the details...he knows its how you make babies basically.) He asked, "You already did it once, why would you do it again???" ROTFLMAO.gif

I used to henna frequently but it has been a while. I ordered a 9 botanical blend on Amazon. It had good ratings.

It was awkward but also hilarious...DH and I had to suppress our laughter. Our son is extremely inquisitive about life in general, he was so matter of fact about his question it just made it that much more hilarious.

Regarding dying hair - I actually got blonde highlights in my dark auburn hair last summer and several inches have grown out and I really want to dye it all back to my original color. Are there any safe hair dyes during pregnancy?

I heard you can use one called vegetal but I don't know how well it will blend the colors. Oh and you could do henna mixed with indigo.

Thanks Madi,  I'll give that at try. Hopefully it will blend okay.
