Angela: Wildrumpus bookstore is wonderful--kids books and chickens wandering about (the chickens wander, not the book) along with some manx cats and various other caged lizards and birds--it's also near Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun, both of which have paved trail around their entirety. The Minnesota Zoo is awesome--great grizzly bear exhibit, playground and a splash pad (bring a suit and change of clothes). Punch Pizza is a great kid friendly lunch option--and it's delicious. If you are here on a weekend head to Mill City Farmer's Market for breakfast (Saturdays 8am to 1pm I think), walk over the stone arch bridge and head into the Guthrie theater for an awesome view of the Mississippi river (all of which is kid friendly). The Children's Museum is good too--and I think it has a Curious George exhibit that just started. Minneapolis is a great place to visit :)
