We had an ultrasound this morning and saw two beautiful little blobby babies with beautiful hearts beating away!! They are dating right on track (I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow). I am totally thrilled and very emotional. We have a really rough time getting pregnant and this is like a huge blessing for us. DD has no idea what's coming her way! I can't wait until a few more weeks pass and I can start telling more people, although I know we're going to slowly start telling family and very close friends over the next week or so. I love these babies so much already!

Anyone else expecting twins in December?

Oh, congratulations!  It's nice to hear a mom getting this news and being really happy!

Have you had an unusual symptoms or was this a total surprise?  Are they spontaneous or did you have fertility treatments that would have made twins more likely?

Congrats!  That is so exciting!  My midwife joked about it but said my uterus was probably that high as this is baby 5...

I get my ultrasound end of next week....twins....wow!  That's amazing!  Fraternal or identical?

Thanks everyone! They are fraternal and yes, a result of an FET cycle where we transferred two embryos. This is coming after 2 back to back losses last year and significant fertility challenges on both our parts. DD is an IVF baby too.

I can't believe how lucky I am that the universe is trusting these two little ones to my mama care.

Congrats!!! I'm also expecting twins as a result of a FET cycle. We had an unsuccessful natural IVF cycle, and then an early loss with a stimulated IVF cycle, both with single Grade A embryos, so I just about fell off the table when I saw those two heartbeats.

I've gotten over the shock and am now in the excited phase, though. We always planned on having one child, but I also wondered what it would be like to have a sibling for our kid, so this is like the best of both worlds.

I'm so excited there's someone else here expecting twins!

colleen & kale - my pregnancy is from a FET cycle too!  we already have one set of twins though, and couldn't really handle another, so i'm happy that it's ya'll expecting multiples and not me!

if you haven't already, check out Dr. Barbara Luke's book "when you're expecting twins, triplets, or quads" - it's a great guide for ensuring a healthy twin pregnancy.  congrats again to you both!!
