I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere...
I'm still breastfeeding my 22 month old and my period returned in September of last year. It's been pretty regular since then - average of 28-32 day cycles. My last period started March 21st, and I'm now on CD 43. I just took a test and it came up negative. I'm going to test again in the morning, just to double-check accuracy (FMU and all). The thing is, my DH and I haven't been sexually active since then. The period on March 21st was also a lot lighter and shorter than normal, and my supply dipped a lot during but went right back up after it was over.
So, I guess what I'm really wondering is if it's possible for periods to be really regular and consistent during extended breastfeeding, and then change suddenly. My 22mo really hasn't changed in his nursing patterns during this time.
Thanks for any insight you can provide.
